My first and only 8x10. I refinished it a while back and pretty happy how it turned out.
I like the nikkor M 450 f9 pretty well too!

Great Job Chris, looks just beautiful! Is the finish laquer or varnish? It's just great when people bring old Deardorffs back to life and they can be used for another 50 years! There's a reason why Deardorffs hold their value and it's not nostalgia. IMHO there isn't a new camera that can hold a candle to one!

    Here is my Collection.

Graflex Anniversary Speed Graphic with RF coupled 165mm f2.7 Zeiss Tessar lens and with my lovely non descript Petzval lens (about 180mm not RF coupled obviously)

Graflex Pacemaker Speed with Rangefinder-coupled 150mm f3.5 Xenar lens. Working Kalart Focuspot with LED flashlight. Its fun but I never shoot in complete darkness (laser focusing also available but its strongly advised to cover the eyepiece with tape!) The cameras rails have been blackened by factory, must have seen some service in the military. The Shutter was broken beyond my repair abilities so I tossed it out to save a few grams.

My favourite hand held camera is the Bush Pressman 4x5. I have calibrated the Kalart (oh yea, I love those things!) to the wonderful Schneider Kreuznach Xenotar 135mm f3.5. perfect sharpness wide open and overall picture quality, itīs like a summicron in 4x5, awesome! I have a second lens board with my 90mm Super angulon MC, not coupled off course but nice to be able to use the cameras movements (it has plenty for such a small package!).

    Second part:

My DIY 4x5 camera with helical focus mount sporting a Schneider 65mm f8 lens.

Shooting hand held 4x5 is fun and all but sometimes I just love the quietness of field camera work. My Shen Hao PTB Chamonix clone with bag bellows and 75mm f4.5 Nikon-SW lens. I mostly shoot the 75mm Nikon and a 150 APO Symmar with the Shen Hao, looking for a 115mm Grandagon or 120mm Schneider to complete the package.

I see that you hung a Sinar shutter in front of a Cambo front standard. Cute.

Pardon my ignorance. Where does the lens go?

Re: Show off your Large Format camera!

    Dan,
I'm installing a lens on Sinar lens board and use it with Sinar shutter if a lens isn't huge.
For huge lenses I have the other solution.
In back of a Cambo front standard there is just the adapter for my bellows with wide front frame, not a second shutter.
