I have a Gitzo carbon fibre tripod with a Leofoto LH-55 ballhead. For 4X5s like the Linhof Technika or Wista 45, that worked pretty well, but less than stable support for the 8X10.

This is an interesting camera. Very reasonably priced, but apparently, capable camera. (For example, it permits interchangeable bellows.) It's really light-weight. Is it pretty stable? I'm wondering if its light weight contributes to it's stability? Maybe less tendency for moment arm vibration.
As for a tripod, you might consider a Feisol tripod. It's carbon fiber and a LOT less expensive. I have one that does a good job of supporting my 13 lbs 8x10. Very beefy legs. Most of the CF tripods that I see have spindly legs.
I'm looking forward to hearing more about this camera. Perhaps you can update us as you become more familiar with its operation.
