Great stuff at Photomark in Phoenix

I stopped into Photomark in Phoenix today and met Rod Klukas.

    Very nice guy.

While there I noticed a Canham 4x10, a Canham DLC45 and several Arca Swiss cameras.

He also had a few 4x10 film holders at $75 a piece and he had what I believe to be Chamonix 5x7 film holder with the soft case. A pair was priced at $260.

He's got a ton of stuff and he is incredibly nice.

I can second the recommendation of Rod. He is extremely knowledgeable, especially so of anything Arca-Swiss and Rodenstock.

The 4x10 gear belongs to Rod's wife, who is a commercial shooter. I picked up several 4x10 sheet holders before Xmas, and have been considering the 4x10 Canham (until, that is, I purchased a 7x17 back and a pair of sheet holders - thanks Don). He also has some used lenses I've been coveting, but finances dictate no purchases for a while.

There is quite a bit of LF gear.

I am in town for the next couple of days and thought I should stop in.

Otherwise, I am running around making images.

Is Photomark the place to buy 8x10 B&W film in Phoenix?

    Politically, aerodynamically, and fashionably incorrect.

Yes, Photomark is THE place to buy anything LF in Phoenix. Rod, is a great guy, my mentor and a personal friend. He teaches a LF class (during the school year) at Scottsdale Community College, great for beginners and veterans alike.

Bought my Arca Swiss F-Field from Rod and a couple of new Rodies. Top drawer individual to deal with.

I think he's a genius. I went in to get a 200.00 lens, and left over a grand there.

The View Camera Store in Fountain Hills (greater Phoenix) also a very good choice for anything large format (and ULF), including film.
