Pali I'll have to say with the exception of the lovely cobalt blue on the slide film, there is just so much more detail in the shadows to work with on ektar. A little bump in saturation on a scan and it would be tough to tell. Gotta love that film. Btw is there wet print technique for bumping up saturation(add more filtration equally?)

Deval, I completely agree with you. I would say that you can make Ektar look like Velvia but never get the detail of Ektar from Velvia which opens up way more options with Ektar. What I love about Velvia is that looking at the image on a lightbox is an awesome experience and the contrast does work really well for some scenes.

About your note on scanning, this is a dry mount scan on a drum scanner with minimal post-processing. I'll check my PSD file again to confirm but I think the workflow was simply colorperfect with ektar default settings -> Levels adjustment to set black and white points manually for each Red,Green,&Blue channels and minor color balance (+ yellow) in shadows.
