I'm not the expert, NormaN, but there are various ways to post a photo. One is to use a link to a website, if you have one, or a page in Flickr. I use the latter. Once the image is posted there-- let's say, 180ppi at about 6.5 x 5 inches -- select the image from the Photostream page so that it opens in its own page; click on the share icon, and then choose "BBC code." Copy the entire link to the image, you will actually only use part of it.
Start your post here. You can then paste the whole link into whatever text you want to add in your post here, and then keep only the part of the link from [img] to [img], including those two bracketed expressions. You can preview the post before actually submitting it.
I hope this helps.

Kevin, the size depends, I believe, on the size you post to Flickr. Maybe Oren Grad or others can clarify. Flickr probably has it's own way of sizing images, so an image may look well-sized there but be too big here.

On the Flickr page for the image, click the "Share Photo" button, then in the popup go to the "BBCode" tab. In there is a drop-down menu where you can select the resolution of the preview image (with embedded link) you wish to use. I find the "large" option (1024 pixels on the long edge) is a good compromise. Make your choice of preview size, then copy and paste the generated code to the forum here.
