    Question about the Razzle

Hi I am new to this forum and have been doing some searching RE: The razzle 900. The camera looks to be a perfect fit for me since I shoot on the fly and need my 4x5 fix since I lost it since clients want digital. I was shooting a speed graphic but would love something faster to capture. When I started looking into modifying a 110b, I found out about the razzle. I tried contacting him but have not heard back yet. I just read that he was banned from posting here so my question is this... What is the best way to find out how to purchase one from him. I am so excited about his project and would love to get my hands on one of these. I know I will have to wait, but I thought I would seek advice from some of the people who own one.

thanks so much for indulging me and look forward to the info shared

Dean is great, he might be on vacation for a few days -- he is a one-man, part-time operation who will bend over backwards to give you great customer service -- but you can't expect him to be available 24-7-365 either.

    Hi,

You can contact him on via his website here . of course! You can try my website where he is not banned..yet!

I'd also look at a Mamiya VII as the lenses are amongst the best ever made and you will get a very good negative to print from. Also it will give you professional Raz-Ma-Taz! Nothing to stop you also getting a Linhoff Master Technica or the like!

I don't expect anything from him but I am just trying to gather info to see what I need to do since I know he is busy.

    Thanks for the reply

Took me a while and 3 emails to catch up with him, but he was very forthcoming with information once he got back to me, and apologetic for the delay. He often sells a CD on the eBay site that is labeled "Bipolaroid", which is primarily filled with pics of all his creations and various stages of construction/modification. Not a lot of text, or how/to copy on that disk. Do an advanced search for..... razzledog ... on ebay. Search for sellers of that name. Then you will see an opportunity to see his About Me page or go to his seller account. I started the communication with him by contacting him at email on eBay.

and while you're at it, ignore the nutty rantings against him. No one is going to knock on your door that you are buying a camera that has broken some claimed patent! The cameras are fine and TTBOMK, no one has been dragged to the stocks!

Read the other thread here by Ash, no relative, but he's obviously a nice guy like myself!

Asher, that thread is by Chris Usher - he shot hurricane Katrina aftermath with a Razzle among other cameras.

    My own threads are elsewhere

I have a 110B Graflok conversion by Mike of Eastcamtech in New York. I'm happy with it, though I haven't compared it to a Razzle.

Impressive work! The street pictures, hand held work well. The misty park images have a wonderful atmosphere. How did you do that?
