Scanning Polaroid 55

Are there any special tips for scanning Polaroid 55 negtive on an Epson 4990 flatbed?

What do you do about the negative being slightly larger than the holder?

I use a piece of anti-newton ring glass to keep T55 flat. I place the negative directly on the scanner's glass. Don't use the holder.
