You're right. Part of this is because the image shows against a white background.
Against a dark background, things look a little different. I will modify the image when I can.
Here is a recent shot I made in the tenthousand islands in Florida.
58 mm sa xl with a #25 red filter. t-max 100 rated at 64. t-max rs dev 1-9 8 min. 1/4 f22.

Thanks, this is one of my best prints and one of the reasons I'm trying to get my stuff ready to show to people for the first time. I've been trying to learn how to mount/matte, and in the next few days I'm going to try spotting prints for the first time. This one in particular needs quite a bit of spotting unfortunately =(
