that's only if it's one of those salmon-coloured ones, however. If it's clear - it probably won't do a whole lot more for you than the glass in your lens is already doing (well, in some cases, anyway).
The clear (color) filter will reduce haze from UV, but not vapor haze.
IIRC, just use a light yellow filter (#8) to cut the haze a little.
