Hi Jeffrey,
I can not be there, but it does look interesting.

Ben
Why doesn't anyone want to shoot the east. We got lots to shoot at. Grin.
I am going to be there and I believe Jim Galli also has his room reserved. Hope to see you there.
If you don't have a room yet, Winners Casino has very reasonable rate (like $85 for 2 nites with a AAA discount) and it is less than a block from the Shoot Out.
Going to try. I want to, but there are lots of other commitments right now so it'll be a last minute thing with me. Sounds like a blast though!

Yes, I'm planning on being there. It's the one convention a year I allow myself. Very Nevada in it's own way and always a lot of bang for the buck!
Last call! This event begins in less than a week.
Jim, I look forward to meeting you there.
Jeffrey
Shooting The West took place last weekend, and it was fun. I met Jim Galli there, a true gentleman. Bring some prints next time, Jim! The lineup of speakers was pretty good. I had not known much about Robert Holmes, but we got to be friends, and his 3.5 hour presentation was very inspirational. Many other great lectures on all aspects of photography and publishing.
There were about 250 or more participants. Plenty of western types (read: cowboys), young and old, guys and gals. There were 179 images entered into the photography show by attendees. I was honored with a First Place award for my image "Not a Survivor". Since the excitement is still running high, I present it here. Made with my Ebony SV45U, Rodenstock 90mm, and Fuji Velvia (Astia maybe?).
Awesome, Jeffrey. Congrats!
