I'm considering a Velbon carbon fibre CF535 tripod with a Manfrotto 410 geared head for my Toyo 45A2 field camera; it seems to balance well even with a Schneider SA72XL, and at 54cm. it fits just right in my flight bag and is really light (I've got back problelms). Any ideas? Why are the Velbons so cheap? Are they the Airbus of tripods?
