    Caponigro's B&W Conversion

There has been so much interest in this, I didn't want my last post in Ed's thread to get buried.

Here is Caponigro's PDF for b&w conversion. It is a must read. The source for his PS action is linked on the last page.

    Enjoy
    Thanks,
    Kirk

    Re: Caponigro's B&W Conversion

His approach is also covered in more depth in chapter 4 of his JPC Adobe Photoshop Masterclass. This book is an excellent read regardless of your method of digital printing.
    Thanks,

    Re: Caponigro's B&W Conversion

Buy.com has the second edition of Photoshop Master Class, new, for $36, most places are charging more than 2x for used. It is a great book for rethinking the use of photoshop.

    Re: Caponigro's B&W Conversion

I like his method of converting to a B&W image to a warm-toned image, using the Hue/Saturation tool. It's fast.

Be sure to click the Colorize option, and choose a color by sliding the Hue slider. Adjust Saturation accordingly.

The step can be saved, named, and loaded again for future use.
