Zone Vi Enlarger Light Flickers After Timer Shuts Off

Hello,
I have a Zone VI Type II enlarger with the 5x7 VC Head, which I bought here in Italy some two years ago. Last night, after having done some lith printing, therefore long exposure times, the light continued to flicker after the timer shut off the exposure light. I first thought that I might have overheated the coldlight and let it rest for the night to cool off, but this morning the problem persisted.
My enlarger is made to European specs.
Anybody had any similar experience, and if so, how did you remedy it?
By the way, I am interested in finding an 8X10 head for this enlarger, which, to my knowledge, Zone VI actually produced for this enlarger.
Any helpful advice will be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a timer problem. Can you manually switch the power to the light, let it run for a few minutes, and then shut off (independent of your timer) to see if the problem persists? That will tell you whether the light is failing in some strange fashion (unlikely, with this symptom) or if the relay in the timer is bouncing (meaning time for a new relay, or more expensive timer repair).

Sorry I am unable to help with your flicker problem, I have the first version of the Zone VI enlarger with the VC head, I had thought the 8x10 head conversion could be of interest to me until I found out that it is a straight cold light head ie no VC filtration, you would need to use beneath lens filters.
