Interesting - is the Canada Balsam you can get from art supply shops exactly the same as the stuff chemical companies sell as 'for microscopy'?

Here's one in Canada. I'm tempted to order just to encourage a Canadian business.

    Well.. I do not know.

I don't have ant tools to measure such things, but that site was more of a... example then a suggestion, I actually trust more polymed...

What I am sure is that "this kind of sites" you can also find locally, and I'm sure that they will have exactly what you find...

*as canada balm is a natural product, experiences will vary. (i'm sure that any high grade of today is much better then last century's high grade)
But is not a magic glue or anything like that. Nor turpentine you know such a insanely toxic stuff... ( imagine a whole class of artist students using it daily... ) -also when you buy yours, try them first. put in the balm a small glass/stainless bead to act like a shaker, to always have a homogenous mix, (don't ever dip a brush in it),"google it", buy it from what site gives you a good vibe (not from ebay or amazon or aliexpress things like this!) and that's that, you don't need much- I'm sure you are closer to "the source" then me.)

*I do have a (student-like) microscope and some glass lamelles- I could glue one and count impurities... or at least try. (not soon though-for me is tomorrow Easter)
