Ah...so that's where Lester Bogen got his inspiration!

Yea, I had that 18 x 24 in the back of my mind as I was writing my post. Did it have a rangefinder? You could use the multi-focal view finder for the 4 x 5 / 9 x 12, easily converting to equivalent focal lengths.

The time when Heavy cameras around 5Kg or more where sold as Handheld cameras , I have two of them, the Linhof Technika 1318 and a Cambo Wide DS, is long ago. I can't explain my view without going out of the intent, but today people have cement on 25Kg bags not 50 Kg and I don't regret that.

Even with a tripod the camera is great in the field, and the negative is enough for direct printing or if you search, the 5x7 enlargers are cheapest than 45 and 810.

The lensboards can be easily machined, I have originals and machined. The film holders: 5x7", 13x18 and British Haf Size holders are fine, but Half Size film is not available out of GB. The 13x18 holders are easy to find in Europe, and most of the brands make film this size (not Kodak)
