Looking for a screw's spec for a Linhof 4x5 viewfinder

    Hi all.

I have somehow laid my hands on a Linhof Super Technika V.

Amongst the several details I need to fix in it, there is a screw missing that secures the end barrel of the viewfinder to the slider for zoom.

I've looked everywhere for service manuals to no avail. Does anybody perchance know the characteristics of that screw? So that I can get a fitting replacement.
    Thank you very much.

You are looking for a screw for an old version of the Multifocus Finder. Contact any LInhof service center.

Will service centers ship parts rather than perform the repair? There's no service center in my country (Venezuela) and I doubt there'll be one during my lifespan, so in this case my only option would be to order the screw to be shipped to me (I have a forward address in the US)

As long as you pay for it they should sell it to you. Hopefully that is the only problem with it since that version has not been made in decades.

Re: Looking for a screw's spec for a Linhof 4x5 viewfinder

    Dear Embdude and Salomon,

I'm contacting a service house in the US (the only place I might get parts sent to my forwarder) to inquiry about the screws.

The tech at this place is checking their spares to see if they have the correct pieces. And they're asking for a copy of the diagram where I get the part numbers to verify.

But before sending the diagram over I want to make sure this won't cause problems for Embdude or the forum. Not that I plan to explicitly mention either, but it's very probable the techs are members of the forum, and being new to Linhof I don't know how close to the vest they keep their technical information and/or service procedures (some companies are more rabid about this, as I've found out while helping a close friend with Fuji Frontier devices for his very tiny lab).
