    anti rotation screw

Have seen a few reference to the use of a screw for anti rotation purposes.. one reference mentioned it was screwed ito the lens on the inside of the lens board, i have seen a few lensboards sold with descriptions including "hole for anti rotation screw"

But i havent actually SEEN a photo of a lens in board that HAD an anti rotation screw in it.

I am not sure how you would actually see one in an image; The hole and screw are between the shutter and board, so wouldn't be visible unless you removed the lens.

To be clear, the head of the screw just sticks out a bit from the rear of the shutter, and the hole is a small indentation in the front of the board, not a hole that goes all the way through.

    Re: anti rotation screw

Anti-rotation screws are typically affixed the the rear of the shutter - and the "receiver" hole/dimple is located in the lens board. Many shutters do not include anti-rotation screws, for the simple reason that most lens boards don't feature the dimple/hole and thus would not accept a lens with such a screw. But if you look carefully in the rears of many shutters, you'll see a small threaded hole into which an anti-rotation screw can be affixed.

Many press cameras utilize anti-rotation equipped lens boards and lenses as they may also feature a shutter release positioned on the camera body in a convenient location for finger operation - and most of these are cable-driven and feature a plunger or small plate which pushes the shutter release cam. Seeing as how the entire release mechanism stays with the camera even if the lens is removed, the lens itself must be precisely positioned each time it is mounted - thus the presence of the locating pin and associated dimple/hole.
