Any 4x5 back can easily be adapted for the 5x7 2d, because correct registration between film plane and ground glass is built into the back. For example, an 8x10 to 4x5 reducing back is simply cut down to fit the space in the 5x7. A 4x5 back from a woody or or crown graphic, etc. is simply let in to a wood or plywood surround. My 8x10 2d has small pins in the back that snap into brass clips, and if the 5x7 is the same, these are simply made by inserting appropriate nails and clipping them off. My 2d came only with a 5x7 back, and I had to make an 8x10 back for it, which was much more complicated than it would be to go in the other direction and adapt an existing 4x5 back. Is your 2d and 8x10 with a 5x7 back, or native 5x7?

Also note that if you have an existing 4x5, you can easily make a removable mount for that which would allow you to pop it on the 5x7 when needed, then back on the 4x5 when you want to shoot that (kind of like a lensboard adapter).
