That one new guy...

Hello all,

It's me, that one new guy. Thought I'd introduce myself as I've just arrived. I'm very glad to have found a resource such as this.

I've shot mostly MF in the past, with some standard digital as well. As I age and gain experience, I find myself drawn to things where value can be found in the process as much (or more) than the result. I think LF is a natural extension of that ethos. Finding a repository of LF knowledge such as this community will no doubt be invaluable to me, and I'm grateful to be here.

I hail from state of Texas in the USA, and I am an ICU RN by trade.

I imagine I'll be shooting mostly landscapes as I learn the ins and outs of LF photography, and am currently researching appropriate beginner-friendly field cameras.

Welcome...but do be mindful that as you "gain experience," you might well find that the size and weight of your equipment will increase in direct proportion to your decreasing ability to carry it!
