Note that this is now very old, and tests were done on one sample of each machine. Moreover, the computer situation has changed quite dramatically. Back in the 90s, you wanted to do was much 'correction' in the scanner as possible, as it was difficult to work on the huge high-res files produced on the computers of the time. In some cases the software will limit you to 8 bit per channel files....I have a Cezanne, but it is on it's last legs. If I were looking to do a lot of scanning these days, I'd look somewhere else. The results also depend on the scanner being 'in spec', and in a professional environment, these machines were meant to be professionally serviced fairly often.
