    Hi Jim

Thank you for your very kind comments and there will be many of us who will miss your voice on this forum. My best wishes for your health as you wind down involvement with photography, which has given you much pleasure in life. Adios, amigo!

This is the best news I've heard in a while...
So glad that you're back and active once more.
I've learned so much from your articles over the years, esp those in VIEW CAMERA.
    Keep up the good work.

    Hi Russ

Nice to hear from you. Very sorrow to be so late in replying to your message but I appear to have missed it when sent and did not check the thread again until just now.

Are you still working with and/or doing research on soft-focus lenses? I never did much soft focus work in LF but picked up an interesting soft focus lens for Pentax 67 cameras, a 120mm f/3.5 and have tried it out with a Fuji GFX 50s. The lens is said to be very similar to a Petzval 1840 and Triplet Derivates Cooke 1893 design. https://skrasnov.com/pentax-67-120mm...#&gid=1&pid=30

Not sure how accurate that is but for sure the lens gives a very interesting look at f/3.5, but becomes very sharp at f/8.
