Over the summer, a lot of visitors came around to our studio. Many were from overseas, outside of the UK and had come and settled here.
I decided to invite the visitors, to return to the studio with an object or thing from their homeland and to explore their relationship with their object through the lens here in England.
This exhibition entitled "Settle!" in reference to settling down in England from abroad, forms the exhibition of this portfolio of large format lith printed/selenium toned as well as silver gelatin work. Over the past few years, I've noticed very few large format photographers in this part of London. We're having an opening night and concert for Friday 6th October 2023 - see poster for details.
You're all invited in person and spirit to keep large format traditional printing on the map for this modern era consumed by digital algorithm. Drop a note if you'd like a complimentary ticket for the open night!
