For those in southern Ontario (specifically Toronto area), Sebatsião Salgado:Magnum Opus is showing at https://metiviergallery.com until June 17. It's a mix of gelatin silver and platinum/palladium work. I would loved to have seen side by sides of the same image in both gelatin silver and pt/pd to see if there was something extra to the alt process prints.

There was also a q&a with Ed Burtynsky and Salgado last weekend, which I missed (still salty about that haha) and I asked gallery staff if Burtynsky asked Salgado about why pt/pd prints were made, and it might be on the podcast of the talk on the gallery's website.

If I had the wall space and $$, I would not hesitate to get several of his prints (open pit mining and Kuwait oil field).

Well worth seeing imo.
