after 7years in the a frozen condition -after bring it to room temp it is a dry solid mass in the original container ???

What can I do or what can I add to make it fluid again ????

if any bogy has worked with Rollei black magic #2 ????

I have never used it.

it has never been opened.

The real reason can be that the liquid part have sublimated away.

What is that of which you write?

All Rollemagic 2 were essentially black finish.

By 'frozen' do you mean the shutter is stuck?

"original container" ? do you mean it's special carrying case?

it's not supposed to be liquid it's supposed to be a gelatinous mass.

I haven't worked with BlackMagic but I've worked with Foma, 3 different Rockland Colloid and 3+ different emulsions I have made...

not sure you have ever used LSE but it's never a liquid until it is melted ...

Have you taken a plastic knife and in the darkroom under the red light cut a small piece off the block
and put it in a container you water jacket in hot water ?
if it melts, brush it on something small, and when dry put a coin on it and turn the lights on and develop it
you'll see how much contrast is left ... and if the emulsion is dead ...

if it is like a rock you might have to experiment to hydrate it ... but it might be a fool's errand ... it fogs from being heated and melted (that's why I said cut a piece off)

I am totally clueless, I do remember it was as you say gel -- well not now it is a rock.
.. but it might be a fool's errand ...I will try. any way your words are helpful.
I will try some cheap hair gell see if it will soak-it up ???

... if it was me I'd take a sharp knife and slices pieces off of the block ( like a piece of cheese )
and then make prints on that.. it's photo paper /a dry plate but without the paper or glass .
