    Hello Tin Can:

Yes, that is a consideration. I have been in a wheelchair once for a few months. It makes everything more difficult. Why is the CB-7 better for wheelchair users? I mean all of the 45M series have power head lift.

The CB-7 enlarger from Beseler was WAY ahead of it's time. The CB-7 eventually became the 45M, then the 45MX, then the 45MXII, and finally the 45MXT which I believe is the current model. I have 2 of the 45MXII enlargers and just love them. Before I got my first Beseler enlarger, I was an Omega guy and before that Durst. I don't think the brand makes a lot of difference. Finding a machine that does what you want it to do does make a huge difference. Sadly, there is no way that I know of to try these things out. I had to buy an enlarger, then buy another to give them a fair trial side by side, then sell the one I decided not to keep. That was a long slow process.

    Thank you Tin Can
    Barry

CB7 has power elevation and power focus and timer all at front edge

    Works sitting down

Also bigger diameter lamp almost 5x7

I bought 1 for $25 for spare to the $200 one. I also factory stand

    Hard to find now

Look up Glennview.Com and read what he says. I was at his fortress and bought some rare gear 8 years ago

    He is a secret!

I had a butchered one of these

VERY heavy, missing parts, modified poorly in Detroit

BUT the internal vignetting lamps could have been very cool

    I have the Dome

    Wow, what an incredible enlarger.

Not much info online about the Beseler 5x7.

    If you do 35mm

    Another best in class

Leitz Focomat V35 Auto Focus that works!

BUT only buy one if it has the correct and rare lens and lamp

I paid $400 for 1 of 18 from Oklahoma State College 12 years ago

I bought enlargers like they were going out of style!

    They were

    Sadly

I have at least a Bakers dozen

A long long time ago I bought a pallet of Leitz Tiltall Professional tripods from the University of WA. I think there were 40 of them on the pallet, all black, all beat to death. There are still 2 of those in my kit like 35 years later. Tin Can you are my enlarger hero.

I had one of these about 20 years ago. Kinda cool, wiring was starting to turn to dust. I bought it for 20 bucks sold it to a co-worker who was significantly crazier than me for $100, one of a handful of times I didn't lose money on photo equipment

Wow! a screamin deal for sure. Anybody else have one of these for sale? I don't shoot 5x7 but would love to have one just for looking at.
