Pity the plates you have don't have someone sitting reading a newspaper
I think you may have some luck by focusing in on certain items in the pictures you have with
Google's image search, I did a cursory search of the figgity boy's shoes using an Google image search.
My best guess is in the 1910's based on the kids shoe style with the offset button flap.

    Google - 1910's childrens shoes

Narrowing it down some more 1905 - 1910 from the museum tag

I'm outta this rabbit hole !
    Good luck !

Thank you. Yes, a newspaper or a calendar hanging on the wall would be awesome. I was researching things like "when they quit putting candles on" & "when they stopped hanging the gifts on the tree", and the plates themselves. The shoes look as though they have "spatz" on them. I started down this rabbit hole 25 years ago when I bought a Brownie Hawkey with film in it. Ever since then I buy any old cameras with film still in it, to develop and see what I get. I will do some looking into that "Three Little Kittens" book, that looks like an older version???? Thanks again.

It was the shoes that got the gears turning they looked 'flapperish', and fashion styles come an go quickly
so i figured it would be a relatively quick search.
Never noticed the book, it's perfect for a Google image search.

Well, you googled "1910's children's shoes", that seems close. I just found this copy of the book and the ad said it was published in 1910. I think that get's us close enough LOL.
    Thanks for the research.

Don't forget glass slides. usually educational.

Many members here saw them IRL as teaching aid.

I think the girl on the left must be a half sister ;~) bad joke.

I did a little research and found crepe paper was invented in the late 1800’s and candles and crepe paper decorations came in in the 1920’s so 20’s - 40’s could be possible but I’d say no earlier. Still could be into the early 40’s.

When I worked for the department of energy in the mud 70’s we were still shooting on speed graphics with press 5 and 25 bulbs and making lantern slides to project in WWII era lantern slide projectors. I made a few thousand of those b
