A folding to flat camera would be smaller to carry...

my sunday morning (happy easter!) pre-coffee brain meanders and thinks..."hey, what about a "microlens plate" which could be incorporated into one half of a film holder, with a dark slide in front, then some kind of long, flat piece with a slot (a "shutter plate") which gets slid in front of this after the dark slide is removed? Would be a flat camera! (now - where is that coffee)

Looks like a nice camera. After handling a 5x7 Linhof Tech III for a while I picked up a 5x7 Speed Graphic, the weight difference was like night and day. Those press photogs that used Linhof must have had huge arms.

Don't forget that Peter Gowland came out with a 5x7 version of his "Pocket View." I've got the 4x5 version and love it! Yeah, it can feel a bit finicky and a bit less than solid...but it can get the job done and, most important, allow my old bones to keep on keeping on!

Oh, but that's not the smallest. I'd think if Mr. Can could have a cone instead of a box, then this would likely qualify as "the smallest." And maybe do this with black, 1/2" Gatorboard...and it would also be "the lightest."
