Do you remember the Drive In Theater and Bell and Howell before the Mall
A friend remembered Skokie mud roads
Elliots Pine Lodge
and did you watch Deep Tunnel be made, the Sculpture Garden
The Movie 'Thief' blew up a house in Lincolnwood, aka Mafia central

Before my time. My father was born in Chicago in 1913, but I grew up elsewhere and moved to Chicago in 1976 to work at the Field Museum. Lived in Wrigleyville until 1986, then moved northwest to Bryn Mawr/Kimball area, where I still live. My memories of McCormick Blvd are more U.S. Robotics (modems and Palm Pilot). It’s also too bad the Kline Tools moved away and that factory was torn down.
Deep Tunnel, yes. The Sculpture Garden is all ripped up now to install new ~2’ waste piping to/from the MWRD facility on Howard.and did you watch Deep Tunnel be made, the Sculpture Garden
On nice nights, I would picnic and short nap in the clean grass as break from work at the factory
Just North is a spot for rowers and small boats to get in the river
Some would go North and some all the way to the Loop
I love the cheap Water Taxi downtown, shot this from Water Taxi
