Curious, catch lights in eye note a strip soft box was used?
If yes, possible to try this set of images again using "hard" direct light ala not diffused light from reflector with barn doors to control light soil or jumbo beauty dish_no diffusion with the dish close up to the portrait sitter?

Well, squareish soft box for the key light and barn doors for the others, but I understand your point about light and contrast ratios. However, for clarity of assessment, I wanted the hat, face, and jacket lit. While in the portrait mode, they are not really lit for max art.
