    Beautiful, Paul!
I really like the OOF rendering of the vase..
Was your point of focus the front edge of the 'tube' of the daffodils?

Thanks. When it works, its great. The trick is to use it sparingly and for the right subject.

Thanks very much. I agree: the OOF quality of the glass with all its transparency/reflections works well here.
And yes, focus was on the forward rim of the trumpets, averaging the three (all on a slightly different plane - close, but not exactly the same).

Thanks! Yes, the Wollensak Verito is a soft focus lens - probably the most famous one of all. Used at its largest apertures, it gives a very soft, luminous look that is distinctive. If you close the aperture down more than two stops, it behaves like a normal lens.
And yes, this is 100% natural window light only!

Just a hint, Joho, PMK stands for Pyro Metol Kodalk, a formula devleoped by Gordon Hutchings. It is available everywhere on this side of the pond as Photographers' Formulary PMK Formula Film Developer. Good stuff and The 2-part chemistry is very long lasting on the shelf properly bottled. Standard formula is 1ml part A to 2ml part B to 100ml distilled water. The working developer is a one time use, mixed just before use. 350 ml of mixed developer is adequate for 8x10 inches of film. Google it and you will find lots of information.

Hi Joho, sorry - I didn't see your question til now.

Chauncey has offered you a good introduction to PMK. Sandy King has written an excellent primer on Pyro developers including PMK and Pyrocat HD, which you can read here.
