M45 x 0.75 male thread industrial lens to Copal #3 lens board?

    Hi large-format pioneers!

Quick one when time permits your side: I want to mount my M45 x 0.75 male threaded lens to a Copal 3 lensboard. I'm sligthly confused, because I'm assuming the copal 3 lens board still needs the shutter to be screwed in!

Just for the sake of conversation, I had the idea of using the adapter linked below, with the lens board also listed below... but I fear the adapter probably needs a shutter between it and the lens board panel.

Would love to hear your thoughts or suggestions.

My suggestion assumes you don't want to use a shutter. Retaining rings are used at the rear of the lens board to hold the lens. You would need a 45.75 or 46mm hole in the lens board, not the larger 65mm hole for the Copal/Compur 3 shutter. Then you can use the RAF adapter like a retaining ring.
