    Red Brick Green Filter Video

Put this video up yesterday. Wanted to see green filter effect on reddish brick, and also to see if I can get the same effect with under exposure/over development... on HP5 4x5. Had fun doing it and learned a lot. Made a cyanotype (toned), from one of the negatives, too!

Re: Red Brick Green Filter Video

I especially like a deep green filter in Canyon country. Otherwise, the reddish Navajo sandstone comes out annoyingly bright and paste-like. And you'll still get good cloud separation from a blue sky. Brick walls are analogous. The differentiation of foliage itself is somewhat more complex, because "green" foliage also emits a fair amount of red, plus infrared. So even though I don't use a green filter as often as orange or red ones, I'm never without one either.
