Hi all, curious if anyone knows of a dependable resource for figuring out the general era when certain Wista Technical Field Cameras were made based on serial number? Specifically the SP model.
Thanks in advance!

I ended up reaching out to the Wista general company email for answers and this is what I got for my two serial numbers, 22133S and P23262.
Matsuse at Wista was very helpful and quick in responding in anyone has a specific question about their camera. They told me serial numbers ending in "S" were made for Foto Care in New York, and numbers starting with "P" indicate it is an SP model.
22133S - made in 1989
P23262 - made in 1994
Hope this helps.
interesting. im going to take a look at my serial numbers now.... not that it will make any difference. nice to know.
thanks for the info.
Serial number logic is useful. I've been looking for an SP. I inherited a Nikon Z50 with lenses (under 2k shutter), including a 200-500 zoom, that I'm going to sell/trade for an SP and Pentax 67 if possible.
