    Osaka 5x7 Camera

    Hello All,

I am considering picking up an Osaka 5x7 Camera to use with a Canham 6x17 Back. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Osaka that they could share. Also, is it true that Osaka is actually Tachihara or that they both come from the same factory and are just badged differently. Pics look very similar. Any additional insights would be appreciated.

    Best,

    Eric Jones

I'm pretty sure it's just a Tachihara rebadged for Bromwell - the Osaka brand doesn't even exist in Japan.

Drawbacks for 6x17 use? It's heavy - more than 8 pounds. Also, minimum bellows draw is a relatively long 110mm or so.
