LF: Stainless Spring Steel for Rear Standard

Reaching out to the group—what would be the best material to recreate LF spring backs? I have an upcoming restoration and would need help which material works best and where to source them.

If you like working with wood and glue you could laminate strips of 1/32" or 1/16" beech plywood strips around a frame with a curve. Laminated springs hold their "spring" indefinitely and wood will not splinter the channels in the frame as might metal springs will.

Old steel blades from hand saws. Or, find a shop that makes springs. Cameras I've made I reused old camera springs.
