    Re: Portraits from 2022

During christmas everyone wanted their picture taken with my "old camera". I finally got my scanner so I can now actually get high quality scans of my LF photos.

Crown Graphic with a Kodak Ektar 203mm shot at F7.7, on FPP "frankenstein" at ISO 200. I didn't bring my spot meter so I just used my phone to meter. It was really hard to get a picture where the dog held still and stayed mostly in the plane of focus, but it came out pretty good I think. I have to say I also like this film, my usual 2 choices for roll film are HP5 and FP4, but for costing only a little over a dollar a sheet the FPP stuff is pretty dang nice. And nice for me to experiment without getting too sad for losing a sheet.

I'm still learning the LF process and I can see there's a ton of dust or something, I cleaned the negative really well but it must have been on the film when it was exposed.

great frame! one could add contrast, but of course the most important thing is the dog! I understand your joy...

As the parent of a 3 year old, the backlog nightmare is real. Just getting around to scanning some positives of images taken last year.

    2022 Grant Reading Serious 5x7 Tri-X Heliar 210 4.5 or Goerz 8.25 inch

    by Brandon Ward

I believe this was taken with a Heliar or a Gotar, the latter of which is a sleeper favorite lens of mine in 4x5 and 5x7. Or maybe a 300mm Portrait lens.

Another in a long series of images of my son as he grows.
