The main problem with scanning slides is getting what you see on a screen. Shooting a color target then scanning that and building a LUT, icc, or input profile will color correct your slide, by definition. It seems you're after absolute color reproduction, not accuracy.
I have no reliable method of doing that besides color grading by eye.
