Johnmsanderson - this portrait has a sense of story to it. The flowering mottled tree, single bloom plant, struggling grass, and even the railroad tracks all contribute to the portrait. The clothing and hat have a certain aged appearance in keeping with the subject, sort of a wabi-sabi consistency.
