I have a small personal project I've been working on the last few years, and would like to get other people involved starting this year. The basic idea is to plan and make a photograph with an exposure that straddles midnight on December 31, so that the photograph bridges the two years. Beyond that, it's really open for interpretation however you like.

I've enjoyed doing this the last few years, but making one photo a year for a project seems very limiting, and I really want to see what other people might do with it, so I'm making it an invitational thing.

The project page is here: https://davidrmunson.com/year

Large format images would be great, of course, but there are no restrictions on equipment or technique, so long as there's an exposure of at least a couple seconds so it can actually span the stroke of 24:00 (or as close to it as you can manage).

I'll be posting this in a few places around the web, but if you have access to other photo groups, especially those not in English, please feel free to share this around.

Moderators: if there's a better place for this, please feel free to move it!
