I've been out of darkroom printing for 12 years, but that is either some kind of waffle iron, or a Beseler 8x10 inch cold light head, if I'm not mistaken.
Yes, it's the light source from the Beseler 8x10 conversion kit that was offered for the 45V-XL and I believe the 45MX series enlargers as well.

That is a cold light head for any enlarger made by Beseler. I believe it was part of their 4x5 to 8x10 conversion for their 45MX enlarger. This allowed you to print 8x10 negatives on a 4x5 enlarger. The later pictures you showed are the Diffusion box and diffuser the last pic is the neg carrier. I believe these statements are true, doesn't mean they are.

Various people also made DIY Beseler 45 to 8X10 conversions, back in the day they all seemed to use Aristo heads as they evolved to adapt to newer papers
