    I've been out of darkroom printing for 12 years, but that is either some kind of waffle iron, or a Beseler 8x10 inch cold light head, if I'm not mistaken.

    Yes, it's the light source from the Beseler 8x10 conversion kit that was offered for the 45V-XL and I believe the 45MX series enlargers as well.

ID:	204511 trying to learn this stuff and not finding a ton of info out there. I assume this piece is the negative carrier-it's the same size - 12 x 12 and has a sandwich type 2 pieces of glass-one clear and one diffused.Click image for larger version.

    I get this when I click on their site:
