    My DIY 4x5 Monorail Camera (Jon Grepstad design)

    Hi, everybody.
    I've been following large format photography for a long time and this winter I decided to try to build a camera and enter this amazing world.
    I made the complete camera by hand, I just had a friend cut the beech wood. I used Jon Grepstad's design as a blueprint. I am currently waiting for the lens to be delivered and finishing the tripod mount.

    Very nice work!

    Are that saw blades used as springs for the back?
    Expert in non-working solutions.

    Sure! Exactly as instructed. I just didn't sharpen the saw teeth

    How all you attach it to a tripod? Looks like you need a center block on the rail. Otherwise, quite impressive!

    Thank you! There is another element with a tripod mount. I'm just finishing it now.
