Very nice, well done. I agree on the old with the new.

Slowly working my way through the negatives.
I process my film one sheet at a time in a converted Paterson Orbital Tank. It’s slow but I enjoy the precision of the process and it’s fool proof. While I’m capable of tray processing my think hands always find a way to stumble somewhere in the process and I’ll scratch a neg (or three).

One of the few examples where I didn’t quiet like the way Atget managed this scene.

I use tray because I can develop by inspection so..talk about foolproof...thanks for sharing!
Out of curiosity, how are you using your Orbital? I just picked one up as a "daylight" option for 4x5/5x7 after my community darkroom went tango uniform on me. I don't have the motorized base, so my initial thought was to use it as a kind of slosher tank in a water bath with 400 mil or so of dilute Pyrocat HD. Any insights appreciated--"foolproof" is what I'm looking for at this stage of the game.
Excellent, thanks--I've put self-adhesive acrylic domes on the bottom of the tank but haven't removed the fins yet (I think the jury's out on whether that's a must for a semi-stand approach.)
Glad to see you're getting great results!
That's good to know (though hopefully it was a "diagnostic" negative that got sacrificed!) I might err on the side of caution and go ahead and remove them from mine--one less thing to run down when the (inevitable) processing gremlins appear.
