    Widest lens on an Intrepid

    Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone here has experience using a wider-than-75mm lens on an intrepid (mk iii). I assume it would have to utilize a recessed lens board, but I'm just wondering if it's worth the effort to try, or if the bellows dont compress enough even with a recessed board. I hope to use a 65mm Grandagon.

    Thanks,
    M.E.

At least with the Mk IV the problem is not the bellow, it's the rail that doesn't move far enough back.
I haven't tried with a 65mm Grandagon, but my Schneider Super Angulon 47/5.6 XL didn't work even with a 20mm recessed board (and that is a pain to use). And the flange to film distance of that lens is 59mm.

I built a small extender that solved the problem.
