Mixing Chambers for Omega Super Chromega Dichroic D II

I am about to buy an Omega Super Chromega Dichroic D II enlarger. It comes with the D-B Mixing Chamber 2 1/4x 2 3/4. I would like to know if I can use this Mixing Chamber for 4x5 negatives or the only way is to buy the D-D 4x5 Mixing Chamber (if I can find it). Thyank you for your help

You will need the 4X5 mixing chamber.

If you are not buying new, make sure the bottom diffusion plastic is in perfect condition. Defects, damage, dirt and scratches on the plastic may show in your prints

    Thanks for all your help!

The enlarger I am about to buy, finally had ONLY a 4x5 Mixing Chamber. Can I use the 4x5 Mixing Chamber to enlarge Medium format and 35mm negatives? According to the manual: "The standard "DD" light multiplier can be used for all negative sizes". I am trying to avoid spending more money on a D-B Mixing box, if possible. Anyone with experience in this field? Thank you!!

You'll be fine with just the 4x5 mixing box. I used those enlargers on the job from 1981-2009, all with the 4x5 box, and never had any problems enlarging smaller formats. I suppose that the smaller mixing box might have decreased printing times, but it wasn't an issue for me.

    Thank you very much Mark!
