Century Kodak no 7 - restauration

Hi everyone,

Just wondering to take the wooden knob off from its brass base. There is a pin inside of it. It tried to take it off without success.

I want to take this part to strip the paint from the camera. Without taking this knob off, there is no way to remove this small mechanism.

Anyone who restored those know how?
