Purchased Platinum & Palladium Printing by Dick Arentz back around 2001 for its list price of $29.95. Last year seriously considered getting the Second Edition (2005). Doing a search for the Second Edition on abebooks, discovered that six copies were available around Thanksgiving with prices running from $380.70 up to $1,141.98! Couldn't find a comparison between my original edition and the Second Edition. But early December came across one copy for sale (vague mention of its condition) for just north of $100.00 from a private bookseller, and decided to purchase it. Well finally received the book today, and it was surprisingly in like-new condition. Was initially shipped via UPS. Followed it being tracked all over the nation, twice arriving at a destination close to home but both times sent to destinations states away. About a week go, the shipping method was changed from UPS to USPS. Then kept arriving at wrong USPS destinations, but in the end finally got the book today. Plan on comparing the editions after the holiday season and post the information. Hopefully to help others considering purchasing this very costly book. If anyone else out there has a comparison of the two editions, please speak up.
