Headshot, 4x5 on aluminum

I love the look of this, super clear and sharp in places, amazing tonality, wonderful look about it. Can I ask what lens was used, and if this is a function of the "wet plate" on aluminum, or the lens, or lighting? It's really a powerful effect.

Here's a photo I took as part of some promotional images for a production of Blithe Spirit.

I thought the crop gave it an old B&W cinema feel.

Finally got around to testing some hc110 and my last 2 sheets of HP5+. I like the developer. Grain is good, a lot like diluted d76 it seems to me.
