    Thanks, folks. Jon, I've printed this image up to 20" on Cibachrome, it needs that size to begin to see the detail. Of course, I'm not doing much Cibachrome printing these days but I sure don't miss the smelly darkroom.

    You are not wrong. Melaleuca quinquenervia has now become an aggressive pest species in southern Florida where it chokes sawgrass marshes and converts open space into dismal dark swamps.

    There were "paper" trees along the street I grew up on in South Florida. We used to break the seed pods up and shoot them in our slingshots.

    Try X-Ray film. MOst do a great job separating shades of green.

    That's very interesting--thanks! If I'm not mistaken, I think the recently departed Acros handled greens with aplomb as well.

    A little bit closer up than a previous of these fallen trees. Sun peaked out of a cloud and made some nice glow but still no harsh shadow.
