Beautiful Jukka!
Beautiful Jukka!
I keep coming back to the picture every once in a while. I redo the original everytime I learn something new on my software. I was using Lightroom but now I switched my workflow to Darktable. I'm having a hard time with the spotting tool. The neg is super scratched and I think I have another shot of him somewhere else but this composition was the best of them. It's backlit, face is dark, and everything else that's wrong. Which is good for me cause I learn how to retouch it every time I watch another learning video. If it was a wet print, I would have just dodge his face, let the background go bright, and a little corner burning.

Thanks Alex! I always enjoy yours as well. Keep them coming!
I try to do a photograph of my daughter every time we travel together. This was in Aruba shot on 4x5 Tri-X with a 25+ mph wind blowing.
I've done this shot before when I was TERRIBLE at Lightroom. I'm now using Darktable and pulled out the original .tif scan. I figure I try to make it a little better than when I scanned it a couple years ago.
Kodak Ektar 300, HP5+
Forgot the exposure, pretty close to dusk.
